Student Activities Program

Masters and early Ph.D. students are encouraged to participate in the student activities program at VTS’17 specifically designed for them.

The idea of this program is to bring 10-12 U.S. based students (M.S./early-Ph.D.) who would otherwise not come to VTS’17 (i.e., non-speakers) and having a series of talks organized for them by industry/academia/government folks on what a career in test might look like. Students can also present posters if they are already active in the community.

This program is contingent upon receiving financial support by NSF and, for invited students, we will cover their hotel expense (rooms to be shared by 2 students), registration fee, and part of their airfare as the budget allows.

Submission

Participation will be done by sending a resume and a statement of interest to Naghmeh Karimi. Applicant’s advisor should also send an email to Naghmeh Karimi stating that he/she will support the rest of the student’s expenses if any. Minorities and under-represented groups are particularly encouraged to apply.
